On my field trip to Lonsdale Quay, we first walked to the sky train station it felt like a long time already. We got the tickets stamped. We didn’t have to buy the tickets because Mr. Chui bought it ahead of time. The other class had to buy because their teacher didn’t buy ticket ahead of time. We have to wait for them. We went on the sky train. We got off at the last station. Oh, my mom went too. When we got down at Water Front, everything looks different but after a while it looks the same again. We then walked around Canada Place. We saw weird telescope things. You had to put in a dollar to make it work. Mr. Chui read information to us while we walked around a building. We saw big boats and two helicopters. We had our snacks in a shade. After snack time we walked up some stairs and headed to the Gastown. At the entrance there was something that looked like a gate. We walked under it and it looks different again. We walk down the cobble stone street and saw a statue of an angle carrying a person dressed for war. One of the teachers told us that someone built this thing because lots of people died in a war, so they built the thing showing an angel bringing him to heaven. We saw the steam clock blowing the 11:00 sort of like music thing. We took a picture in front of a statue of Gassy Jack, Then we got a free sample of really, really sweet and tasty fudge. I think the owner of the shop was called Cathy, my teacher’s friend. We saw her because she set a booth in the market. We took a sea bus to Lonsdale Quay. When we finally got there, It was lunch time. We waited half an hour for everyone to finish eating. We took off like jack rabbits and headed for the park. At the park, there was a spinning thing, a climbing thing and a balancing thing. After we took the same route back. My favorite on this trip was the fudge and spin thing. Sorry if there’s too much was in this, but hope you like it Written By Annie Yu from division 14 of grade 3 |
