Overseas with the
Grade Seven Recorder Ensemble

The Norquay Grade Seven Recorder Ensemble has worked and performed together for two years. They have performed many times at our school and in the community. On Wednesday, June 23, 2004, they went with Mr. Colpitts and Mr. Findlay to Victoria just for fun. It was great fun meeting at the school at 5:45 a.m. so that we could catch the 7:00 a.m. ferry.

In Victoria we first saw a show at the National Geographic IMAX Theatre. Then we visited the Royal Provincial Museum.

Of course, a little shopping was mandatory.

Next, we went to Beacon Hill Park for lunch. Then we walked through the park to the ocean cliffs.

For a couple of hours we explored the beaches. Then we loaded up on ice cream and set back for the ferry. Thank you to Mr. Findlay for driving the van and to Wolfe School for loaning the van to us for the day.
