The Vancouver Sun wanted to put a photo of the last day of
school on their front page the next morning.
So, a photographer came to Norquay
School to photograph the students leaving at 3:00.
The photographer was early. When he found out that it was Ms. Wynston's last day as principal, he asked to photograph her with some students. Here they are in Mrs. Joseph's classroom. Unfortunately, the photo never made it into the newspaper. |

Close to 3:00, the Vancouver Sun photographer stood outside the front door and Ms. Wynston arranged for all the Grades One to Four classes in the main school to be ready. When the bell rang, they burst through the door and the photographer took many, many photographs. One of them appeared on the front page of the Vancouver Sun the next morning, June 30, 2004. |
