Farewells

Every year on the last day of June, the teachers have breakfast together.
On this occasion we also say farewell to teachers and staff members who are leaving Norquay School.
For each leaving teacher, a colleague gave a short speech wishing them well.
Three Norquay teachers are retiring this year - Mr. Ewert, Mrs. Wild and Mr. Colpitts.

Mr. Ewert is retiring after 35 years teaching (33 years in Vancouver and 2 years in Manitoba).

Mrs. Wild taught many years at Trafalgar School before coming to Norquay School.

Mr. Colpitts taught at Norquay School his entire 33 year career.

Mrs. Car will be Vice Principal at Kerrisdale School in September.	Mr. Smith will be teaching at Henderson School next year. It was wonderful to have him back at Norquay this year.
Ms Lam will be teaching a primary class at Renfrew School.	Mrs. Soper filled in for Mrs. Hughes as Mrs. Perry's teaching partner this year. She was a great hit with her students and the Norquay staff.
Ms Fielden shared Division 7 with Ms Milevskaia this spring.	Ms Lynch shared Division 8 with Ms Lau this year. She is moving to Whistler.
Ms St. Denis was a Special Education Assistant at Norqay this year. She plans on doing a lot of travelling.	Ms Des Lauriers was a resource teacher at Norquay this year.
